The Beggining....

Ok, well, here goes. I am going to finally try my hand at this blogging thing. I was of course inspired by my sisters. I am not very eloquent so I am sorry if anything I write offends the advanced, grammar minded! :) I will begin by posting my family's current "status" so I will be able to post meaningful milestones/ events. Clayton, has been working for a company called Tandem Commercial, for about 9-10 months now. The company installs stadium seats, built in tables at colleges, and army bases, theater/ auditorium seats, church seating, as well as re-apohlstering church and temple seats. They travel around the country, and soon to other countries, doing these jobs. This has been a great opportunity for Clayton to be able to see parts of the country he would otherwise never see, most likely. This has been a good career change for him, less work outdoors and definately easier on his clothing! The pay is better but the only bad part is how often he is away from us. We hope eventually that will change.... hmmm... As for me, I am still lucky enough to be able to stay home and raise my kids. I get to focus on housework, dirty diapers, peed in beds, and major toy tornados. It's great! In all honesty though, I do love it. Of course I haven't been able to get housework to the top of my priority list but, I am working on getting it off the bottom. I love my little kiddos and I love being able to be home with them and witness every second I can of their development. It is a great gift. I have been working on turning this old cruddy house into something semi-nice. It has a long way to go but I have been working on de-cluttering and re-arranging. I made a nice accent curtain for separating the family and dining rooms and the de-cluttering really is a big key. As well as getting the dishes done, and put away! So that's my daily project. On to the kids. Parker is 4 and has started preschool. He loves it. I think it has really helped him socially and creatively already. He has really blossomed in just the last month. He is TRYING to color in the lines and he is freehand drawing more and more. His teacher says he has lots of friends and is doing very well, except for the occasional time-out or fight. Oh boy! Over all though, preschool has been wonderful for him. He has also just completed his first season of soccer. That was a joke. He did really well on the one cloudy day they had a game, scoring 3 goals in one half, but other than that he did ok. He had a hard time focusing on the game, and seemed more content to run around playing airplane. A well spent 60 dollars.... Oh well. He has another season starting in the spring, so we will see how that goes. He is really, really good if he can get into the game and FOCUS! Ok, on to Alison. Alison just turned 3 and is completely potty trained, yay! She is speaking more and more everyday, spitting out vocabulary I had no idea she knew! She is seeming so grown up all of the sudden. We do not have her in any extracirricular activities yet. I am trying to watch her to find something she would enjoy doing, and be halfway good at. She is a pretty uncoordinated kid! I am thinking maybe soccer. She seems to like it and isn't too bad. Maybe dance, but I don't want to force the stereotype on her. If she expresses a desire, then we'll talk. I am also going to look into tumbling/gymnastics for her. We'll see. She is getting very imaginitive. It is so fun for me to watch, listen to her play with her babies, barbies, and dolls. She has all kinds of in depth stories for them to act out all ready, it's amazing. She is growing and getting so tall already, but is still very skinny. Luck kid... We are currently working on her separation anxiety issues. She is very clingy and does not like being babysat or going to nursery, but she is getting better, slowly. On to Garrett. Well, what can I say, my baby is almost 1, :( I can't believe how fast the time goes. He is almost, completely dis-interested in bottles, he wants to eat whatever we are eating, no matter what it is. He is walking, EVERYWHERE, and going up, and DOWN stairs. The down part was just discovered, by the parents, this weekend! He is such a funny kid. He has a HUGE personality, very loving and cuddly, very loud and dramatic, and very outgoing, clownish. Haha, he loves to make funny sounds, faces, actions and once we get laughing he keeps going with different things to keep us laughing. I love it! He is such a gorgeous baby. If I do say so myself, all my kids are! He has a different look than the others, I can't tell what it is but it's just different and so rolly polly cute! I love when he just walks up to me and lays his head on my arm, or shoulder, or whatever he can reach, and just lays there for a second, like a hug. He is so sweet. Ok, I think that is quite enough for the first post. I hope to be able to keep up on this. I am not always good at that.... as per the house, we had it sold, again, for the third time, and it fell through, again, for the third time! Very frustrating, and depressing but we are making our way through it and accepting the circumstances and trying to make the best of them. Yes it is still for sale, and will be until it sells, however it would help if I could get my butt up and put the sign back out there! HA! Oh well. Thanks for reading and check back, I might actually update! :)
